Groupware Web Client
The included web client integrates e-mail, RSS feeds, contacts, tasks, calendar, document sharing and the archive into a rich browser-based interface. Access all groupware functionality from anywhere using a standard web browser.

Jabber/XMPP Instant Messaging Server
eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) is an open, XML-inspired protocol for instant messaging (IM) and presence information.
Outlook Connector
The Outlook Connector provides real-time two-way synchronization of mail, contacts, tasks, and calendar events between Outlook and the Groupware Server. Supports Outlook 2002, 2003 and 2007.
Calendar and Reminders
Manage your private calendar and share it with others. Quickly check the availability of co-workers. When an event or appointment is due, a pop-up alert will remind you in the web client. Therefore, no important event is ever missed, even when connected from a remote location.
iCalendar (iCal) Support
iCal provides a standard way to exchange calendar data. It allows users to send meeting requests and tasks to other users through e-mail.
Public, Private, and Shared Contacts
Public contacts are accessible by anyone in the organization, private contacts are managed by the user, and shared contacts can be controlled with user & group permissions.
vCard Support
vCard provides a standard way to exchange personal contact information. Use the vCard format to easily import contact information from other systems into the Groupware Server.
Active Directory Synchronization
Synchronize users from Active Directory to provide easy integration with your existing directory services.
LDAP and LDAPS Server
Provide directory services to your network with the included LDAPv3 server. The server also supports LDAP over SSL (secure LDAP).
SMTP and POP3 Server
The SMTP and POP3 mail server can be used as a relay mail server (MTA) for another e-mail system. SSL (Socket Secure Layer) support provides secure, encrypted transmission between the client and server.
IMAP Server
The IMAP4 server provides users with the ability to see exactly what is on the Groupware Server from any IMAP client. Since e-mail is not downloaded and deleted from the server, users can work from home or the office and not have to deal with duplicate messages.
FTP and WebDAV Access
Easily create, share, and publish documents online. Access the document storage from a standard web browser, FTP client, or WebDAV web folder.
E-mail and Instant Message Archive
All e-mail and instant messages are saved to a read-only archive that cannot be modified. Attachments can be archived or not, depending on the mail archive settings.
Full-text Search
The full-text search engine can quickly find any e-mail (and attachment), instant message, contact, calendar or document object. Additional search options include searching by owner, date and file size.
Advanced SMTP Protection
The SMTP server includes the following advanced protection measures: Commtouch Real-time filter, Directory Harvest Attack protection, Bayesian filtering, e-mail per hour quotas, reverse DNS verification, and DNSBL.
Commtouch Real-time Filter
Commtouch analyzes billions of transactions in realtime to identify new spam, malware and zombie outbreaks as they are initiated. This technology provides a maintenance-free anti-spam solution.
Bayesian Anti-spam Filter
Bayesian spam filtering is a popular method to distinguish illegitimate spam e-mail from legitimate e-mail. The Bayesian anti-spam engine is integrated into the e-mail server and can be trained directly from the web client using the "Junk" and "Not Junk" buttons.
SQL Data Storage
The included 602SQL Server provides high performance data storage, relational capabilities, and full-text search components that are necessary for a complete messaging solution of today.
BitDefender Anti-virus
BitDefender provides frequent virus definition updates, normally released every few hours. This makes it effective at protecting against new and emerging online threats.
Automatic Backups
Provides unattended backups of the database (mail, instant messages, calendar, contacts, documents), server settings, full-text index, and Bayesian filter.
S/MIME Support
Groupware Server supports the standard for public key encryption and signing of e-mail encapsulated in MIME. Key management is provided using an ActiveX plug-in to a web browser.
